Milwaukee Brewers shortstop Willy Adames and catcher Omar Narvaez were named finalists to win Silver Slugger awards, MLB announced Monday.

The Silver Slugger award is given annually to the best offensive player at each position in both the American League and National League.

Milwaukee traded a pair of relievers to Tampa Bay for Adames on May 21. In 99 contests with the Brewers, Adames batted .285/.366/.521 with 26 doubles, 20 home runs and 58 RBI. Despite playing nearly two months with the Rays, Adames led all Brewers position players with a 3.5 bWAR.

In his second campaign with Milwaukee, Narvaez hit .266/.342/.402 with 20 doubles and 11 big flies and was named an All-Star for the first time in his career.

Brandon Crawford of the San Francisco Giants, San Diego star Fernando Tatis Jr. and Trea Turner -- who was shipped from Washington to the Los Angeles Dodgers at the deadline -- are the other three finalists at shortstop.

Narvaez will battle San Francisco’s Buster Posey, Dodgers backstop Will Smith and Philadelphia’s J.T. Realmuto for the award at catcher.

The winners will be announced Nov. 11.
