Opening day can’t come soon enough for Mike Brosseau.

Milwaukee’s utilityman finished 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBI in a 12-3 Brewers win over Cleveland on Friday at American Family Fields of Phoenix.

Brosseau doubled in his first at-bat, blasted his third homer this spring in his second and cleared the bases with a two-out double on an 0-2 pitch in his final plate appearance in the third inning.

The Brosseau takeover boosted the Brewers to an 8-1 lead through three frames.

From there, a combination of timely hits and solid pitching handled the Guardians.

On the hill, Milwaukee starter Brandon Woodruff collected four strikeouts over three innings. He was relieved by Peter Strzelecki and four others, including Hoby Milner and Jake Cousins.

Cleveland was limited to four hits and two earned runs. Both teams committed two errors.

The Brewers return for their next game in the Cactus League at 2 p.m. Saturday against Kansas City.
