The Green Bay Packers signed linebacker Eric Wilson off of the New Orleans Saints practice squad on Tuesday.

Wilson, a six-year veteran, joined New Orleans this offseason. He was waived after training camp and spent the first four weeks of the season on the practice squad.

In 2021, Wilson appeared in seven games for Houston and seven games, making two starts, for Philadelphia. He finished the year with 46 tackles, including one for a loss, one quarterback hit and one interception.

Originally an undrafted free agent out of Cincinnati, Wilson signed with Minnesota in 2017. He played four seasons with the Vikings, compiling 234 tackles, eight sacks and three interceptions. In 2020, Wilson started 15 games for Minnesota and made 122 total stops.

Green Bay had an opening on its 53-man roster after placing offensive tackle Caleb Jones on the non-football illness list Saturday.
