A big Pro Day raised the stock of Wisconsin’s Faion Hicks. It undoubtedly helped him get selected in the 2022 NFL draft.

The cornerback was chosen in the seventh round by Denver on Saturday, becoming the second Badgers player taken by Denver, joining Matt Henningsen, who was selected in the sixth round.

A native of Miami, Fla., Hicks made 107 tackles (85 solo), picked off one pass and broke up 16 more in 44 career games. His lone interception came during his freshman season in 2018.

Hicks raised his stock at Wisconsin’s Pro Day where he ran sub-4.4 seconds in the 40-yard dash (4.37) and completed the short shuttle and 3-cone drill in 3.94 and 6.78 seconds. He also posted a 37 1/2-inch vertical jump and did 15 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press.
