The Milwaukee Brewers reinstated and optioned right-handed pitcher Luis Perdomo to Triple-A Nashville and placed righty Jandel Gustave on the 15-day injured list, retroactive to Aug. 1, with right forearm discomfort Tuesday.

The moves helped free up roster space for Taylor Rogers and Dinelson Lamet, who Milwaukee acquired from San Diego in exchange for All-Star closer Josh Hader on Monday.

Perdomo, 29 years old, has resided on the 15-day IL since May 28 due to a right elbow effusion. He recovered but didn't take back a spot in the Brewers bullpen. In seven appearances (10 1/3 IP) this season, Perdomo owns a 1.74 ERA and 1.07 WHIP.

The 29-year-old Gustave last pitched for Milwaukee on July 31 against Boston. In 27 games (28 IP) this year, he boasts a 3.86 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with 27 strikeouts and 11 walks.

The Brewers return to action Tuesday at 6 p.m. on Bally Sports Wisconsin vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates.
