Right-handed pitcher John Gant has been reinstated from the 10-day injured list, the Minnesota Twins announced Saturday.

Gant, who was acquired from St. Louis at the MLB trade deadline, owns a 4.73 ERA across 12 games (five starts) for Minnesota this season. He missed the club's last 10 contests with a left abdominal strain.

The Twins placed starter Joe Ryan on the medical family emergency/bereavement list to make room on the 28-man roster. Ryan's practically been lights out in his first four big-league starts, posting a 2.45 ERA with three walks and 25 strikeouts.

Gant is set to start the third of a four-game set versus Toronto on Saturday night at 6 p.m. Catch the action beginning with "Twins Live" at 5:30 p.m. on Bally Sports North.
