
WATCH: Kaprizov scores two goals in win over Stars
The Minnesota Wild finished the preseason strong with a 5-1 win over the Dallas Stars.
Joel Eriksson Ek scored a wraparound goal to give the Minnesota Wild a 1-0 lead in the first period. He was assisted by Tyson Jost and Jake Middleton. Kirill Kaprizov doubled the Minnesota lead with a power play goal assisted by Mats Zuccarello and Matt Boldy.
Brandon Duhaime extended the Wild's lead with a goal in the second period. The Dallas Stars got one back with a goal from Jani Hakanpaa to cut Minnesota's lead. The Wild answered back with a goal from Mats Zuccarello assisted by Kirill Kaprizov to make it 4-1.
Kirill Kaprizov scored his second goal of the night in the third period to put the finishing touches on the win over the Stars.
Marc-André Fleury made 22 saves in the 5-1 win.
Minnesota will open the regular season on Thursday against the New York Rangers at 7 p.m. on Bally Sports North.
