The offense for the Minnesota Wild was ready to go from the start on Thursday against the Dallas Stars in their preseason tilt. Minnesota won the exhibition 5-2 with five different Wild players finding the back of the net.
It all got started in the first period with Marco Rossi scoring a shorthanded goal for the Wild to ignite things for the offense. Minnesota flipped the script later in the first and added another goal in the opposite fashion with Mats Zuccarello firing one in on the power play.
Jonas Brodin added a goal in the second period while Jared Spurgeon and Andrej Šustr nestled ones into the back of the net in the third period as the Wild cruised to victory.
Jesper Wallstedt got the start in goal for Minnesota and yielded just two goals opposed to 33 shots saved.
The win moved Minnesota to 3-0 in the preseason with a date against the Chicago Blackhawks in Milwaukee up next on Sunday.
