Luis Arraez has been placed on the seven-day concussion injured list, Minnesota Twins manager Rocco Baldelli announced Tuesday.

To take his place on the roster, the Twins recalled infielder Nick Gordon from Triple-A St. Paul.

Arraez suffered the injury during Minnesota’s 6-5 win over the Texas Rangers on Monday night. While trying to score from first base during the third inning, Arraez tumbled into Texas catcher Jose Trevino. He was originally called out, but Baldelli challenged the ruling and it was reversed.

It’s the second call-up of the season for Gordon, who was brought up April 23 but never appeared in a game and was optioned back to the alternate training site April 26. He has yet to make his MLB debut.

Gordon, who was drafted fifth overall by Minnesota in 2014, logged a .298/.342/.459 slash line with 14 stolen bases in 70 contests for Triple-A Rochester in 2019.

Minnesota continues its series with Texas at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday night. Tune in to Bally Sports North for "Twins Live" at 6 p.m.
