The Minnesota Twins got back a key part of their lineup Saturday as Luis Arraez was activated from the injured list.
To make room for him on the roster, outfielder Gilberto Celestino was sent to Triple-A St. Paul.
Arraez, who has played second base, third base and left field this season, is slashing .305/.368/.387. His average and on-base percentage are tops among Twins on the current 26-man roster.
Arraez last played July 20, when he left early due to soreness in his right knee. He was placed on the 10-day IL on July 24.
Celestino has appeared in 23 games for the Twins in 2021, going 8-for-59 (.136) with two home runs. He last played July 27.
