MINNEAPOLIS – Bally Sports North, broadcast home of the Minnesota Lynx, on Thursday announced its 25th season of broadcasting Lynx basketball along with a 31-game telecast schedule for the 2023 Minnesota Lynx WNBA regular season.
“As we celebrate the 25th season of Lynx basketball on Bally Sports North, we are proud of our longstanding relationship with the Minnesota Lynx and honored to play a role in growing awareness and exposure for this great team, the WNBA and for women’s sports,” said Bally Sports North general manager Mike Dimond.
Bally Sports North Extra will also broadcast Saturday's historic preseason game from Toronto -- the first WNBA game played in Canada -- against the Chicago Sky starting at 3 p.m. Regular-season coverage starts Friday, May 19 at 7 p.m. when the Lynx host the Sky in the season opener also on Bally Sports North Extra.
Highlights of the 2023 broadcast schedule include three games against the WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces (May 28, June 18 and July 9), and two games against the New York Liberty (June 7 and Aug. 26).
Minnesota Lynx broadcasts will feature Emmy Award winning play-by-play announcer Marney Gellner, who enters her 13th season calling Lynx action, along with analyst Lea B. Olsen, who returns for her 15th season. Sloane Martin also returns as sideline reporter and will handle play-by-play for select games.
