The Minnesota Gophers’ offensive line was well-represented on the 2021 All-Big Ten offensive teams, which were announced Wednesday.
All five starters were All-Big Ten recipients.
Right tackle Daniel Faalele was named first team by the coaches and third team by the media while Blake Andries, who started at left tackle (three games), right guard (seven games) and right tackle (one game) this season, was tabbed first team by the media and third team by the coaches.
Center John Michael Schmitz got second-team honors from the coaches and was named third team by the media.
Left guard Conner Olson was tabbed third team by the coaches and received honorable mention recognition from the media.
Sam Schlueter, who started the final eight games at left tackle, was a consensus honorable mention selection.
In addition to the offensive linemen, tight end Ko Kieft was also a consensus honorable mention pick. Mainly a blocking tight end, Kieft did have seven receptions for 101 yards with a touchdown this season.
Wide receiver Chris Autman-Bell, who led the Gophers with 35 receptions, 490 yards receiving and six receiving touchdowns, was named honorable mention by the media.
