-- 10,000 fans at Thursday’s Panthers game receive miniature goalie stick presented by Bally Sports Florida and Baptist Health

-- “Inside the Panthers” will take fans behind the scenes through Luongo’s Hall of Fame induction festivities

SUNRISE, Fla. –  Bally Sports Florida, the network home of the Florida Panthers, announced that it will celebrate former goalie Roberto Luongo’s induction into the Hockey Hall of Fame with a miniature stick giveaway and a special episode of “Inside the Panthers” documenting his enshrinement.

Luongo, who played 11 seasons for Florida and is now the Panthers Special Advisor to the General Manager, was inducted into the Hall of Fame on Monday night in Toronto.

The first 10,000 fans to enter FLA Live Arena for Thursday’s Panthers home game against the Dallas Stars will receive a miniature goalie stick, presented by Bally Sports Florida and Baptist Health. The sticks highlight Luongo’s 489 career wins (fourth-most among NHL goaltenders), his 1,044 games (second-most) and his two Olympic Gold Medals playing for Team Canada (2010 and 2014).

In-game videos at the arena and on the broadcast Thursday night will showcase Luongo’s enshrinement. Pregame coverage begins at 6:30 p.m. on Bally Sports Florida, with puck drop set for 7 p.m.

Bally Sports Florida will then give fans a behind-the-scenes look at Luongo’s Hall of Fame induction and the festivities surrounding it with a new episode of “Inside the Panthers” premiering Saturday at approximately 7 p.m., following Florida’s 4 p.m. game against the Calgary Flames and postgame coverage.

Steve Goldstein hosts the “Inside the Panthers” episode after traveling to Toronto to interview Luongo during Hall of Fame weekend. Our cameras also captured the special moments when Luongo received his Hall of Fame ring and blazer, and fans will see him back on the ice showing off his skills in a legends game.

Saturday’s coverage starts with the “Panthers Live” pregame show at 3:30 p.m., and that game against the Flames will also feature the debut of the new Panthers Reverse Retro uniforms.

All of the Panthers games and programming airing on Bally Sports Florida also stream live on the Bally Sports app and on BallySports.com when a viewer authenticates through their pay-TV service. The coverage is also available on Bally Sports+, the all-new standalone streaming subscription service from Bally Sports. Fans can visit BallySportsPlus.com to learn more and subscribe.

The “Inside the Panthers” episode on Luongo’s Hall of Fame induction will re-air throughout the month.
