CLEVELAND, OH, September 27, 2022 – Bally Sports Ohio will produce all 80 non-nationally exclusive Cavaliers games of the 2022-23 regular season each with pre- and postgame coverage.
Live coverage of Cavs regular season games, presented by Northern Ohio Hyundai Dealers, begins Wednesday, Oct. 19 in Toronto when the Cavs face the Raptors. Cavaliers Live pregame show will air at 7:00 p.m. with tipoff at 7:30 p.m.
The Cavs play their first regular season game at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse on Sunday, Oct. 23 vs. the Washington Wizards at 7:00 p.m. Home opener coverage will begin at 6:00 p.m. with an expanded one-hour edition of Cavaliers Live pregame show.
Pre- and Postgame Coverage
Cavaliers Live pregame show, presented by Northern Ohio Toyota Dealers, will air 30 minutes prior to every game providing commentary, features, and in-depth pregame coverage. The Halftime Report, presented by Ken Ganley Kia, will break down the first half of the game and offer insights in preparation for the second half. Immediately following the final buzzer of each game, the postgame edition of Cavaliers Live, presented by Wayside Furniture, will feature highlights, player interviews and analysis.
John Michael is back to call play-by-play for all Cavs games on Bally Sports Ohio. Sitting alongside him will be a rotation of analysts including Cavaliers legends and former All-Stars Austin Carr and Brad Daugherty as well as former head coach Mike Fratello. Serena Winters also returns as sideline reporter.
Bally Sports Ohio is pleased to announce Cayleigh Griffin will be the new host of Cavaliers Live pre and postgame shows. During the Cavs 2018-19 season, Cayleigh worked as digital host and reporter for FOX Sports Ohio. She also served a number of roles for the Cavs including sideline reporter on Cavs Radio Network, contributor of “Cavs HQ”, and reporter for Cleveland Monsters Hockey and Cleveland Charge. She returns to Cleveland after spending the last two years as host and reporter for the Houston Rockets and Astros on AT&T SportsNet.
Cavaliers legend Campy Russell will join Cayleigh at the desk throughout the season. Carr, Fratello and Winters will also contribute to the show on a regular basis.
Cayleigh succeeds Jeff Phelps, who served a co-host of Cavaliers Live since 2003. Over the past 19 years Jeff held many roles with the network, including Cavs sideline reporter, high school football and MAC football play-by-play, and host of multiple sports programs. He played a critical role in the network’s coverage of so many memorable Cleveland sports moments and will always be regarded as one of Cleveland’s most professional and beloved sports broadcasters.

As previously announced in a “Countdown to Cavs”, all four Cavs preseason games will be produced by Bally Sports. The Cavs preseason games on October 5 and 10 will air on Bally Sports Ohio. The remaining two preseason games on October 12 and 14 will air on Bally Sports Great Lakes.
