NHL: St. Louis Blues at San Jose Sharks

The St. Louis Blues have much more to do this offseason, but they made a small move toward their future with the signing of forward Keean Washkurak to a three-year, two-way, entry-level contract Tuesday.

Washkurak, 19, was a fifth-round draft pick (155th overall) by the Blues in 2019. He spent most of the 2020-21 season with HK Levice in Slovakia, where he tallied 19 points (nine goals, 10 assists) and 110 penalty minutes in 21 regular-season games.

Prior to that, the 5-foot-10, 185-pounder had 114 points (44 goals, 70 assists) and 152 penalty minutes in 176 regular-season games over three seasons with the Mississauga Steelheads of the Ontario Hockey League.
