Each week, the Noise highlights under-started names who he believes are destined to torch the competition. To qualify, each player must be started in fewer than 60% of Yahoo leagues. Speaking as an accountability advocate, I will post results, whether genius or moronic, the following week. Scoring thresholds in .5 PPR format are — QB: 18 fantasy points, RB: 12 fantasy points (10 for shockers), WR: 11 fantasy points, TE: 10 fantasy points.

Excessive, at least deemed by one official, celebratory pelvic gyrations aside, the former Packers RB has maintained his status as an Option 2 du jour with another NFC North squad, Detroit. With D’Andre Swift sidelined due to shoulder problems, Williams is now an Option 1, not only for the Lions but also for willing fantasy managers looking to apply spackling to hole-laden backfields. Currently RB4 in the virtual game, he’s compiled a considerable 15.7 touches per game, including 20 rushing attempts last week against the rival Vikings. On top of that, he’s scored four total touchdowns. His 2.33 YAC per attempt and 9.3 missed tackle rate prove the skills are rather ordinary, but you can’t discount the volume and steady goal-line feedings, even with Craig Reynolds siphoning off the occasional touch.
Williams’ Week 4 matchup is intoxicating. Through three weeks, the Seahawks have surrendered 5.11 yards per carry, 170.3 total yards per game, two scores and the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Given the budding relationship with Amon-Ra St. Brown and growing connection with Josh Reynolds, Jared Goff could easily set up Williams for multiple red-zone touches. If that's the case, another RB1 yield in 12-team leagues is on the horizon for the veteran rusher. Debate his merits markedly.
Fearless Forecast: 19 attempts, 68 rushing yards, 2 receptions, 9 receiving yards, 1 touchdown, 14.7 fantasy points

The cream always rises to the top on a properly poured smooth-tasting Guinness. A similar chemistry could be brewing in Foxborough. Overall, Stevenson is stout and hardly frothy. Exhibiting as much, if not more, juice than backfield compadre Damien Harris, he’s notched 4.17 YAC per attempt (RB) and a 27.6% missed tackled rate. Tasty. He also checks in at No. 11 in yards created per touch. Essentially, there’s a whole lotta Ra-Ra in his game. After logging 62.5% of the snaps in Week 3, Stevenson's workload could swell with Mac Jones (ankle) out and Brian Hoyer in. Green Bay showed massive improvement defending the run last Sunday in Tampa, but the Pack has still allowed 5.44 yards per carry and 107.0 rushing yards per game to RBs. Add it up, and Stevenson enters the RB2 discussion in highly competitive formats.

35% | $5,600 | vs. Chargers | Chargers -5 | 44.5 |
An impending sign of the building apocalypse, Jacksonville defeated the Chargers 38-10 last week ON THE ROAD. Skewered on the ground by James Robinson and Travis Etienne, the Bolts have now conceded 5.29 yards per carry, 147.0 total yards per game, three total TDs and the seventh-most fantasy points to RBs. Pierce displayed phenomenal break-tackle skills last week in Chicago, raising his season YAC per attempt mark to a sensational 3.52 (RB15). Seeing action on 69% of team snaps, he has greatly outdistanced Rex Burkhead. Game flow may not be friendly, but on what should be another 15-plus touches, Pierce is a clear-cut RB2 against a vulnerable run D in 12-teamers.
