Each week, the Noise highlights under-started names who he believes are destined to torch the competition. To qualify, each player must be started in fewer than 60% of Yahoo leagues. Speaking as an accountability advocate, I will post results, whether genius or moronic, the following week. Scoring thresholds in .5 PPR format are — QB: 18 fantasy points, RB: 12 fantasy points (10 for shockers), WR: 11 fantasy points, TE: 10 fantasy points.

Tom Tepid has reappeared. Blame his rocky relationship with Gisele. Blame Father Time. Blame the glaring absences among his wide receiver corps. Whether an individual or collective culprit, it’s clear Brady has delivered lukewarm results over the first three weeks. Specifically, with an old school dink-and-dunk flair, he’s averaged 224.3 passing yards, posted a 3:1 TD:INT split and scored 15.1 fantasy points per game, slotting an almost unheard of No. 26 among quarterbacks. Better days are likely ahead, but in a virtual game where patience isn’t necessarily a virtue, many have quickly designated him to the bench if not outright given him a pink slip in shallow formats.

However, his prime-time throwdown with Patrick Mahomes and Kansas City on Sunday night (pending Hurricane Ian’s frightening possible impact) is the matchup to help rejuvenate his seemingly flaccid arm. Mike Evans is back after a one-game suspension, reliable slot man Cole Beasley has a game under his belt and Russell Gage has developed into a quality underneath weapon. The Chiefs have surrendered a measly 6.19 passing yards per attempt, but they’ve also given up 253.7 passing yards per game and seven vertical scores. In total, they rank No. 11 in fantasy points allowed to the position. Most promising, the potential negative game script could usher an increase in attempts. Attacking in small chunks or not, the 45-year-old Brady proves he isn’t completely cooked.

Fearless Forecast: 286 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 0 turnovers, 22.3 fantasy points

If grilled properly, you should NEVER sauce a brisket. When it comes to the fantasy version, however, a light sauce dipping is encouraged for those with questionable QB rooms (see those who drafted Wilson, Russell).

Brissett is averaging just shy of 20 fantasy points per game the last couple of weeks, but a burgeoning relationship with Amari Cooper and his sneak effectiveness indicate a serviceable outcome in Atlanta. Yes, his 10.3 yards per attempt isn’t the sexiest, but with his QB13 ranking in adjusted completion percentage, he’s an employable option.

Against the Falcons, Brissett could again reach a top-12 QB level in a contest no less with the week's second-highest projected total. The Atlanta defense has coughed up 7.59 yards per attempt, 288.7 passing yards per game, a 7:2 TD:INT split and the 10th-most fantasy points to signal callers. Sink your teeth in deeper formats.

Fearless Forecast: 235 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 0 turnovers, 21.1 fantasy points

Season record: 3-3

Last week: 1-1 (Marcus Mariota 20.8, Tua Tagovailoa 13.3)
