Each week, the Noise highlights under-started names who he believes are destined to torch the competition. To qualify, each player must be started in fewer than 60% of Yahoo leagues. Speaking as an accountability advocate, I will post results, whether genius or moronic, the following week. Scoring thresholds in .5 PPR format are — QB: 18 fantasy points, RB: 12 fantasy points (10 for shockers), WR: 11 fantasy points, TE: 10 fantasy points.

Improbably landing a difficult-to-find Barbie Dreamhouse for your very demanding yet precious 10-year-old daughter just in the St. Nick of time — at a discount, no less — is the appropriate equivalent of White piling up 20-plus fantasy points this week. Though it may seem unlikely, it’s an attainable total. No joke.
Last Sunday, the promoted backup, in true dink-and-dunk form, dissected a gashable Bears defense with surgical precision. Spreading the ball around with success, he connected with seemingly every Jets pass catcher, present and past. Overall, White completed 78.5% of his attempts, racked 315 passing yards and tossed three touchdowns. His resulting 149.3 passer rating summed up a nearly flawless day.
Silence, doubters — it wasn’t a fluke.
As witnessed on Thanksgiving night (while several beverages in), Mac Jones, like many opposing signal-callers, nearly vanquished the Vikes with repeated on-point throws. This season, Minnesota has yielded a very generous 8.25 passing yards per attempt, 293.3 passing yards per game, 16 passing TDs and the 4th-most fantasy points to QBs. WIth Elijah Moore resurrected, Corey Davis healthy and check-down options always in view, White is highly employable for those scratching and clawing to gain a postseason spot. And, yes, that line was written while in a completely sober state.
Fearless Forecast: 272 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 1 interception, 4 rushing yards, 22.0 fantasy points

You, similar to your better half, will routinely imagine Garoppolo only in his skivvies after watching his efforts in Miami. The Handsome One is capable of delivering a dreamy output, even for individuals in shallow formats. He’s registered a multi-TD performance in five of his last seven games, and for the season, he ranks QB7 or better in three different completion percentage categories, including red-zone throws.
With all of his trials and tribulations from last summer long in the past, the thought of a Niners’ Super Bowl excursion isn’t outlandish under Garoppolo. One step closer could be gained in what might be a postseason preview against the Dolphins.
Miami has surrendered 248.3 passing yards per game, 17 passing TDs and the fifth-most fantasy points to QBs. Due to the bevy of weapons at his disposal and near 50 points game total, Garoppolo is a viable QB1 this Sunday.
Fearless Forecast: 256 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, 0 interceptions, 3 rushing yards, 21.1 fantasy points
Season record: 14-9
