One of the true delights of the WNBA is the outstanding, sometimes breathtaking ball movement. We love it so much at Bally Sports that we are looking at the best assists every week. Enjoy the Dimes of the Week.

The Las Vegas Aces clinched a 93-83 win over the Chicago Sky in the 2022 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup championship Tuesday. The highly-competitive matchup went wire-to-wire, but the Aces set the moment from the tip after going on a 27-9 run in the first quarter. To close out the first half, MVP of the game Chelsea Gray initiated the fast break that led Jackie Young to clean up a last-second basket after Kelsey Plum threw the ball off the backboard. It wasn’t technically Plum’s assist, but her reaction to seeing the ball go through the net was as if she’d planned for Young to tap it in.

The Seattle Storm took down the Atlanta Dream on Sunday. In the 82-72 win, Tina Charles led the team in scoring with 27 points thanks to her teammates who continuously make sure she gets her touches. In the first few minutes of Sunday’s game, Charles helped get a defensive stop to start the fast break by Breanna Stewart, who quickly passed the ball up the floor to Sue Bird. Bird took advantage of a three-on-two opportunity and dished it off to Gabby Williams who then dropped it off to Charles for her first basket of the game.

Down by one, in a very chippy game in New York against the Liberty, Chicago Sky’s Emma Meesseman played point guard to find WNBA veteran Candace Parker rolling off of a screen for two points, and a chance to make it a three-point play. The Sky ended up losing by three in Saturday’s game, but Parker led her squad with 21 points and 11 rebounds.

However, the winning Dime of the Week goes to the 2022 WNBA Commissioner’s Cup MVP Chelsea Gray. Known as one of the clutchest players in the league, Gray has been showing off incredible ball-handling skills to help create wide-open shots for herself. However, she’s not perfect and on Saturday, Sparks guard Brittney Sykes tipped the ball out of Gray’s control and somehow Gray turned a near-turnover into a highlight.
