TAMPA, Fla. – Bally Sports Sun, the network home of the Tampa Bay Rays, will premiere a brand new episode “Rays All-Access” on Saturday, September 11 upon conclusion of Tampa Bay’s game vs. the Detroit Tigers. On this season’s 12th episode of “Rays All-Access,” host Tricia Whitaker give viewers a closer look at Wander Franco, the rookie phenom for the Rays.

Franco was the consensus top prospect in Major League Baseball prior to being called up in June and is off to a great start since arriving in Tampa Bay. Franco surpassed Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle earlier this week for the 2nd longest on-base streak by a player 20 years old or younger in MLB history. Franco is currently chasing another Hall of Famer, Frank Robinson, for the record of consecutive games reaching base by a player under 21 as Robinson reached safely in 43 straight games in 1956. In addition to discussing his first few months in the Majors, we take time to learn about his favorite things, including his favorite tattoos.

Also on this episode of “Rays All-Access,” our prospect spotlight shines on Xavier Edwards, a speedy infielder who hits well and has a bright future ahead of him. Tune in Saturday night to watch the Rays take on the Tigers, and stay tuned following the game for “Rays All-Access.”
