The St. Louis Cardinals made three roster moves prior to their Thursday afternoon game with the Mets, recalling outfielder Lane Thomas from Triple-A Memphis, optioning pitcher Johan Oviedo to Memphis and returning pitcher Bernardo Flores Jr. to Memphis.

Oviedo had been called up to start Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against New York. The right-hander took the loss, allowing five hits and four runs in four innings.

Flores Jr. also had been summoned from Triple-A for the doubleheader, as the 27th man. The 25-year-old left-hander appeared in the second game and faced three batters, allowing two walks, a single and a run.

Thomas went 2 for 9 in four games with the Cardinals in April. He played in Memphis' first two games of the season this week, collecting two hits (double, triple).

The Cardinals complete their series with the Mets at noon Thursday on Bally Sports Midwest.
