The St. Louis Blues scored three power-play goals and moved to 3-0 on the preseason with a 4-1 win over the Blackhawks in Chicago on Tuesday night.

The Blues had the power play working from the get-go as Ryan O'Reilly opened the scoring with the man advantage less than three minutes into the game.

Cole Guttman pulled Chicago even 1-1 in the second period.

That was all Jordan Binnington and the Blues would allow. He made 20 saves on 21 shots through the first two periods. Vadim Zherenko, making his Blues debut, took over the third period and finished with 11 saves.

The Blues broke out for three goals in the third period to put the Blackhawks away. Justin Faulk broke the 1-1 tie with a power-play score, and three minutes later Griffin Luce found the back of the net to put the Blues up 3-1.

Nikita Alexandrov capped the scoring with the Blues' third goal of the period, and third power-play goal of the night, in the final few minutes.

O'Reilly added two assists on top of his goal for a three-point night, and Brayden Schenn tallied two assists.

Defenseman Scott Perunovich left the game in the first period following a hit by Michal Teply.

The Blues continue preseason play on Thursday in a home matchup with the Columbus Blue Jackets. The game will stream live on the Bally Sports app.
