The St. Louis Blues' first-round pick in the 2021 NHL draft, Zachary Bolduc, has signed a three-year entry-level contract, the club announced Monday.

The center was the 17th overall pick of the draft from Rimouski Océanic of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

Bolduc, 18, is a left-handed shooter with plus offensive potential, and he's received praise from evaluators for his impressive stickhandling. He had 30 goals and 22 assists in 55 games for Rimouski in 2019-20, then tallied 10 goals and 19 assists over 27 games during the pandemic-shortened 2020-21 campaign.
