Josh Leivo scored two goals and Thomas Greiss and Colten Ellis combined for a shutout as the St. Louis Blues defeated the Dallas Stars 4-0 in a preseason matchup on Tuesday night at the American Airlines Center.
Leivo, a 29-year-old journeyman who joined the Blues on a one-year, one-way deal this offseason, added an assist and led the team with seven shots. Logan Brown and Will Bitten also scored for the Blues.
Brown, who assisted on Leivo's first goal, has four points through two preseason games.

Greiss, the 36-year-old veteran who signed a one-year deal to replace Ville Husso as part of the Blues' goalie tandem, played the first period and stopped all 10 shots that he faced. Ellis, a 21-year-old prospect who spent most of last season in the ECHL, relieved him for the final two periods and was perfect while facing 21 shots.
The Blues' preseason slate continues on Tuesday night as they visit the Chicago Blackhawks.
