The St. Louis Cardinals made two entirely expected roster moves Tuesday, placing reliever Jordan Hicks on the 10-day injured list and recalling starter Johan Ovideo from Triple-A Memphis.

Oviedo is scheduled to start Tuesday night's game against the Mets. It will be his second start (and third appearance) for the Cardinals this season. The right-hander allowed three hits and three runs and struck out seven Phillies in five innings in his previous start.

Hicks was placed on the IL retroactive to May 2 with an inflammation of his right elbow after being removed from Saturday's game. The right-hander has 10 strikeouts, 10 walks in 100 innings spanning 10 games this season.
