The St. Louis Blues kicked off their preseason with a 5-4 win over the Arizona Coyotes on Saturday at INTRUST Arena in Wichita, the first NHL game ever played in Kansas.
Logan Brown and Jake Neighbours each scored two goals. Brown broke the 4-4 tie, scoring the game-winning goal with 4:10 remaining in the third period.
Jordan Binnington started and played in only the first period. He allowed one goal on eight shots. Twenty-two-year-old Joel Hofer took over for Binnington and finished the game in net.
The Blues continue their preparation for the regular season at 7 p.m. Sunday as they head to Dallas for an exhibition game with the Stars.
