The Kansas City Royals beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-3 on Saturday, led by Bobby Witt Jr., who went 2 for 3 with three RBIs and a run.
Witt Jr. broke a scoreless tie in the top of the third inning with a three-run shot, scoring Nicky Lopez and John Rave. Lopez reached on a fielding error and Rave reached on a bunt single.
Matt Duffy doubled in the next inning to score Franmil Reyes, who also reached on a double.
Prospect Nick Loftin, who could push for a role in Kansas City later this season, cranked a solo home run in the top of the ninth.
Zack Greinke, who was recently announced as the Royals' Opening Day starter, made his final spring start. He pitched three innings and had two earned runs on five hits, no walks and five strikeouts.
Taylor Clarke struck out three but allowed a run on two hits and no walks over 1.2 innings, while Nick Wittgren struck out two during a scoreless eighth. Ryan Weiss got the save.
