The Kansas City Royals recalled left fielder Edward Olivares from Triple-A Omaha ahead of Saturday's game in Toronto. In a corresponding move, shortstop Lucius Fox was optioned back to Omaha.

Olivares is batting .242 in 33 at-bats for Kansas City in 2021.

Fox was called up by Kansas City on Friday, but he didn't make his major league debut during the team's loss to the Blue Jays. Fox is batting .185 in 85 at-bats in Omaha this year.

The Royals will play one more game in Toronto on Sunday before heading to Chicago for a three game series with the White Sox.
